black mission FIG jam

$16.95

••• Good Food Award Winner •••

The black mission fig was first introduced to California in 1768 when Franciscan missionaries planted it in San Diego. Eventually, it made its way up the coast and has been cultivated here ever since. This not-too-sweet jam tastes like fresh, perfectly ripe figs - with notes of floral honey and an earthy undertone.

"This is my favorite fig jam, it's sweet and savory at the same time."
- Ina Garten / The Barefoot Contessa

Did you know that almost all commercial fig jams are made from dried figs? We prefer to use only fresh, organic, ripe figs for our jam - they’re an extraordinarily delicate fruit, but we think it’s well worth it! Our fig jam pairs wonderfully with prosciutto and soft goat cheese- try baking it in puff pasty with chèvre!

INGREDIENTS: organic black mission figs (grown in Corning, California), organic unrefined cane sugar, organic apple cider vinegar

SIZE: net weight 10 oz (284 grams)
